Open Sesame Gallery’s "Sketchbook Standout" Exhibition Premieres at Tacoma Public Library.
TACOMA, WA. October 4, 2025 – December 2025 - Open Sesame Gallery, in collaboration with the Tacoma Public Library (TPL), is proud to announce the opening of "Sketchbook Standout," a major group exhibition premiering at the Handforth Gallery as part of TPL’s "Kaleidoscope" rotating series.

WHEN: October 4, 2025 – December 2025 (as part of the TPL's "Kaleidoscope" series)
Inspired by the global Moleskine Project, "Sketchbook Standout" features the diverse talent of 33 local Tacoma-area artists. Each artist contributed an original 9″×12″ piece, showcasing exceptional works across the disciplines of comics, illustration, and fine art. The exhibition offers the public a unique, unfiltered look into the creative genesis typically confined to an artist's personal sketchbook.
The exhibition is available for viewing during regular library hours and is a core component of the broader "Kaleidoscope" series, which runs from October 4, 2025, through January 2, 2026. "Sketchbook Standout" itself will be on display through December 2025.
